Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of WCAG Consultant, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations. We are actively working to address these issues as part of our ongoing commitment to improving accessibility. If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed above, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service in an accessible format and investigate the issue.

Known limitations for WCAG Consultant:

  • Focus Visible (WCAG 2.4.7, Level AA)

When navigating sliders on the page using the keyboard, focus is moved to an interactive element (the slider’s pagination control), but no visible focus indicator is displayed. As a result, keyboard users may be unable to determine which interactive element currently has keyboard focus.

  • Limitations related to third-party technologies

WCAG Consultant uses third-party components and libraries, which may introduce accessibility limitations that cannot currently be fully addressed at the application level without modifying or replacing the underlying third-party technology.

For example, the accessibility testing tool ARC Toolkit reports an invalid aria-describedby reference for certain Slick slider elements because the attribute references an id that does not exist. This issue is associated with the third-party slider implementation and cannot currently be resolved without modifying the third-party component.

We continue to monitor accessibility issues related to third-party technologies and will address them where technically feasible, including through library updates, configuration changes, or replacement of the affected component where appropriate.
